Fee-vah

Last week kind of blew. Literally. I don't get sick very often, but when I do, my body pretty much throws a hissy fit and knocks me out of commission.

I was death walking. With freckles.

Not used to doing nothing, I dragged my achy self out of bed and into the kitchen every morning to raid the fridge for "get well" ingredients

Figured out how to make some pretty decent green tea lemonade (that soothed a horribly swollen throat quite nicely).

My backyard has a massive lychee tree that bears fruit every year. Though this is an off year, there's still enough that the "hot" fruit is a summer staple in the kitchen.

It goes without saying that I peeled and dumped a few into a green tea batch. Lo & behold, homemade lychee-infused green tea! It actually wasn't that bad as the fruit gently flavored the green tea without taking away from it's natural taste. Topping it off with just a splash or two of ginger ale pretty much makes it the perfect summer picnic drink.

Sidenote, ever notice that after eating lychee you get "hot"? Not sweating hot, but an internal-flush like heat? Or maybe it was just my fever.

Once massive batches of all sorts of green tea variations filled the fridge, my attention would shift to my LA souvenir.

Whenever I wandered outside to make peace with Vitamin-D in the backyard, I fidgeted with the plastic wonder and hung with the geckos.

The sun burned a hole straight through my old flaws, and it's safe to say that this summer plague is over and done.

Back to shenanigans!
