Eventually spiffied up to venture out for the day. Stopped at the nearest gas station, to which I promptly remarked about how great the price was. I got shot down with a, "that's actually expensive." Meh.
I think it was about 105 degrees when we set out? UG. Seeing that it was around Happy Hour, jetted to Sonics for my first slushie experience. Don't know if it was because it was my first sip of anything for the day, or that it was just so darn refreshing, or that it was that awesome, but let's just say I nearly groaned out loud after my first sip. Cherry limeade slush FTW!
Explored Tuscon for a bit, saw the Boneyard, where "planes go to die". Awww. I generally am fascinated by anything historic, especially of the militaristic nature, so seeing this gave my brain a little tickle.
The spectacularness of Arizona sunsets shines even through a bug splattered windshield at a traffic light.
After running around town for a few last minute things for San Diego, we returned to the house and just hung out. I adore her dogs! Chewy is quite the little pimp.
Old man Han, who decided it'd be cool to R Kelly my shirt. I guess that means I'm his bitch now? hahaha
Reuben's pup, Uno, is a 5-month old 60lb+ mini lion. He's such a lovable pit bull, who also decided to try and make me his bitch, but in the good ole' fashion way. Without even dinner first, psha.
Such a handsome pup.
Spending the day with Cece was great. It was the second time we've hung out, but we've been 'net buddies for years & have bonded to the point where she's the kind of friend where I can walk into her house and open her fridge without a second thought. Internet, bringing people together since it's inception. Woot!
